  1. Hmmm…so was it sheriff’s department or state police on the chase? If you say CCPD, that would be very hard to believe since they never seem to have anyone on duty at that time. Heck, they don’t appear to have anyone on duty any other time either unless they are either sitting on the way in town giving tickets, sitting on the side of the water treatment plant, or sitting on their ass at the office. Hopefully this was one of those “Bay Creepers” or rich come here’s and not a true local. Either way hopefully they are okay.

    1. “Wow, your knowledge of law enforcement is truly impressive! I didn’t realize they offered a degree in ‘What I Heard on the Internet.’ Maybe you should consider a career in comedy—you’re certainly good at making people laugh with those educational comments.

Editor’s Note: With the stories like this, we have the details, but witnesses, and even folks with video evidence will not go on, or even off the record to corroborate the events. We know about the fight at the O&E pub, and the local “officials” that were involved. But unless the community steps up, only the most banal aspects make it, the rest is swept under the rug. You may be part of the cover-up. If you have details you would like to share, by all means, send them to capecharlesmirror@gmail.com.

  2. I like to know why there was a high speed pursuit in a busy tourist town. Was it a felony/misdemeanor or just a traffic Infarction, that had jeopardize the safety of the people?
Does Cape Charles Police have a pursuit policy?

  3. Not that it matters, but was it 5:30 PM or 5:30 AM? I am assuming 5:30 AM since it states Sunday morning!
