
DeQuan received his undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management, and Master’s degree in Sport Management from Virginia State University. During his career in hotel management, he has held leadership roles with Marriott International and Intercontinental Hotels Group. DeQuan has completed his doctoral studies, and is currently finishing his dissertation.
Smith states that his first order of business is to meet with the college’s business and community partners to become acquainted, evaluate their needs and to explain available resources at ESCC. “Workforce development is crucial to the economic vitality of the Shore.
