  1. Well said And I like to know why the doors where locked so I was not able to get into last weeks meeting on zoning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Mr. Dufty,

Mr. Hogg clearly has property..ie the ESRH property. According to your reasoning, then Mr. Hogg would have been in violation just like Mr. Hubbard was (according to your reasoning), when voting on the 2015 zoning. I wonder if any other board members have property that would have been affected by voting on the zoning? I would be willing to bet they do!

Your allegations are just that, allegations.

“When Rick Hubbard, on December 8, 2015 voted on the 2015 zoning, even after he told Leo Kellam and myself that he was in favor of the new zoning because it would allow him to build houses on his property for his children, I believe he committed a violation of the Conflict of Interest Law. Note that it does not matter according to this law whether you voted in favor or against an issue: if you had a personal stake in it, you cannot vote on it.”

Note: I am one of Rick Hubbard’s 3 children and I currently live and work in Northampton county.

I hope the people that read your opinionated editorials understand they are just that; opinionated editorials.

  3. Scott, It’s wonderful that you are living and working in NHCo. It is another great example that the children of residents can live and find work in the same county as their parents.

Your comments seem to ignore the statements that make Hogg’s position so different than that of your father’s desire to profit from the zoning as he stated to several other citizens. Hogg offered to DONATE land to ESRH. Please read again:
2.) ESRH approached Granville about buying his property for their new facility (Granville did not approach them first, according to my information).

    3) Granville, wanting health services available when the hospital leaves, said he would donate 6 acres to ESRH. Free. No charge. At that time ESRH was saying they needed 6-7 acres.

    4) Later, ESRH called Mr. Hogg and said they wanted 12-14 acres. Granville said his land was available, but his “pocketbook” was not that deep, and he would sell his entire parcel, giving cash credit for the 6 acres he said he would donate. He did not want to be left with a smaller parcel that he could never sell.

    5) ESRH called back again and said they needed 18 acres. Granville again made the same offer.

And you are correct, some editorials are opinionated. I could label your editorial as myopic but I will not as you are admirably devoted to your father. I believe you will find the facts presented in 2 through 5 above accurate.
