The Rea Charitable Trust has awarded ESO Arts Center $10,000.00 for the fiscal year 2019/2020. A grant of $5,000 was awarded to promote, develop and expand the ESO Live! Concert Series. An additional $5,000 was awarded for unrestricted purposes for the operations of ESO Arts Center.
The Rea Charitable Trust was created in 2009, in honor of Isabel McClintic Rea, with its primary purpose being “promotion of the arts.” Isabel was the daughter of a well-known Midland, Texas ranching family, Mr. & Mrs. C.A. McClintic and was known as one of Midland’s most talented pianists. She attended high school in Midland graduating with the class of 1935. She majored in music at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia. She passed away on August 26, 2004.
ESO Arts Center, in Belle Haven, was established in 1986 as a nonprofit organization with the mission to foster the development of the Arts on the Eastern Shore, and to make the arts available to all residents. ESO hosts regular classes in all areas of the arts, in addition to Ballet performances and Music Concerts annually.
