The Town has been notified by our mosquito spraying vendor that monthly spraying will begin later this month. The proposed schedule is as follows, weather permitting:
• Tuesday, May 23
• Tuesday, June 27
• Tuesday, July 25
• Tuesday, August 29
Spraying will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Bay Creek neighborhoods (Heron Pointe, Bayside Village, The Hollies, The Signature, Plantation Point, The Fairways, New Quarter, Marina Village East, The Colony/King’s Bay), then proceed to the historic district, going east to west starting with Washington Avenue, then north to south starting with Harbor Avenue. The majority of Mason Avenue will not be sprayed due to the number of people still outside at 9:00 p.m.
The Town will not be spraying in September due to the monarch butterfly migration.

Mosquito control trucks spray very small amounts of insecticide into the air to kill mosquitoes. This spray is a fine mist that acts as a fogger in the area.
