  1. People all over America, regardless of what skin color they might happen to have been issued at birth, starting with all these statue haters and midnight skulkers and statue snatchers, and including school age children, should read this and take a moment, as I was made to do when young, to pause and reflect – DO WE REALLY WANT TO DO THAT ALL OVER AGAIN?

I remember a TV show back in the late-1950s called “The Rebel Johnny Yuma,” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQCDtiiTZw8 about a secesh after the war simply trying to make his way through life in a highly divided country, and I thought that was an educational show.

And Johnny Cash, the singer, the “man in black,” had a song on the radio back then titled “The rebel-Johnny Yuma” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGUOSz-rTn4, and yes, it was a hit in the north where I was born and raised.

Nobody thought a thing about it back then, because it was considered a recounting of actual American history, and when I was young, right after WWII and all the ugliness associated with that war, we were supposed to know history and to learn from history so we would not be stupid enough, as we have become today with the help of a lot of politician demagogues, to repeat that history.

History is the story of people.

This is one of them right here.

We should learn from it, not bury it and Wayne, thank you from a northerner, who was once told by an “old boy” in the Army from North Carolina back when that I was alright, because I talked slow for a Yankee, for printing it for us all to see and read.
