Cheriton Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Center is currently open and serving the children of traditional migrant families as well as our local seasonal families who work in aquaculture, nurseries, and small farms. We are holding a school supply drive and welcome donations of school supplies, clothing, shoes, gift cards, etc.
In addition, we would like to extend an open invitation to the community to come and volunteer at the center. Volunteer activities include reading with preschoolers and playing with toddlers.
If a community member or group would like to make a larger contribution, we would LOVE for someone to build a structure on our playground. This will be the children’s fire department, art gallery, restaurant, veterinary clinic… If interested, please contact Lynn Bowen at LBowen@ecmhsp.org or call 709-4817 to schedule a day and time.
