Driving on Old Cape Charles Road on the morning of September 22nd, you may have noticed some folks in orange vests cleaning up trash and debris alongside the road. Eight members of the Cape Charles Yacht Club (CCYC) and one guest participated in the quarterly clean-up of the roads leading to the Cape Charles Town Harbor.
The members of CCYC were Steve Bunce, Walter Childs, Stuart Smith, Sam Jones (Northampton High School student and grandson of Paul and Nicki Tiffany), Bob Panek, Sue Panek, Karen Gliedman and Nicki Tiffany.
The CCYC is responsible for Old Cape Charles Road from the Bay Creek entrance to Mason Avenue, and Bay Shore Road from Old Cape Charles Road to the Town Harbor. Seven bags of trash were collected.
