Build a kayak in December! Seawolf Kayak returns to Cape Charles for the 3rd year. Join Dave Burden of SouthEast Expeditions, at his store on Mason Avenue in Cape Charles and build your own traditional kayak with the help of skilled craftsmen.
Build and take home your own traditional skin-on-frame kayak under the direction of traditional kayak builder Kiliii Yuyan of Seawolf Kayak. The finished kayaks are exceptionally light (28 pounds) and ultradurable. Over 9 days you will learn dozens of woodworking skills including steam bending wood, traditional lashing techniques, hand carving a kayak paddle, and much more to complete a beautiful, high performing sea kayak.
