SALTWORKS OPERA VOICE COMPETITION is scheduled for October 19th, 2018 in Cape Charles, VA 23310. This event is FREE and OPEN to the public! Competitors are chosen using a ‘blind audition process’ and our committee receives no information that would allow them to identify a singer. We make selections based on audio selections alone.
HOW TO APPLY NOW
We are currently accepting applications for the 2019 voice competition by post and email.
Here’s What You Need:
1. Completed Application
2. Demo (min of 2 audio selections/none for high school) please, do NOT send video files.
3. Application fee of $35 (please make checks payable to Saltworks Opera LLC)

REQUIREMENTS:
Young Artist (age 35 and under): 6 audition selections including one musical theater selection. Previous 1st Place winners may not apply.
Student Artist (current undergrad/graduate student NOT doctoral or artist diploma candidates) : under graduates 4 selections including 1 aria/graduate students 4 auditions selections including 2 arias.

- 1st $1000 & Role within 3 years
- 2nd $500 & Role within 3 years
- 3rd $250
Student Artist:
- 1st $200 & Role within 2 years
- 2nd $150
- 3rd $100
