The U. S. Fleet Forces Band’s Woodwind Quintet, led by Musician Second Class Phillip Martin, combines the unique sounds of flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, and bassoon to create a wind instrumental version of the classical string quartet, a well-suited group for a variety of occasions. The quintet’s extensive repertoire enables them to perform for anything from a dinner or reception to public concerts.
The U. S. Fleet Forces Band’s Woodwind Quintet is also available for elementary school educational concerts, master classes and clinics for high school and college students. A refreshing change of pace from standard military music, the woodwind quintet lends a touch of class to any gathering.
