Town Council has approved a Harbor Development Certificate permitting South Port Investors to construct a 60’X120′ workshop on Lot 17. South Port currently owns various tax map parcels on the south side of Cape Charles Harbor.
This addition will continue the growth of the Cape Charles Yacht Center with the construction of an indoor boat repair structure.
The indoor facility will allow crews to work around winter elements and constraints presented by rain and summer sun. The structure is a steel building with five overhead doors on the west side of the structure.

The building will be 30′ tall and the floor will be a continuous concrete slab. The building will be used as a space to work on boats and store tools and machinery.
According to the Yacht Center, the facility will allow the operator to increase sales and expand the workforce.
