NASSAWADOX – Nassawadox glows with holiday cheer each year, helped out by the tree lighting ceremony hosted in front of Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital by the hospital’s Auxiliary. This decades-long tradition is a moment to pause and remember what makes the holidays truly special. The Auxiliary’s heartwarming celebration of life ushers in the holiday season. This year the Eastern Shore community is invited to attend the Festival of Lights on December 4th.
The tree lighting ceremony will take place under the front canopy of Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital at 5:30 p.m., followed by holiday music and refreshments. The lights will shine each evening throughout the holidays and into the new year.
Lights can be purchased in any quantity for $5 each. Forms are available on posters at local businesses and post offices and at the hospital in Nassawadox. Forms can also be found on a November 6th post on www.facebook.com/riversideshorememorial. Because honorees receive an acknowledgement of the gift, it’s a thoughtful way to share holiday greetings with loved ones and support a worthy cause as well. Donors will be recognized in the ceremony’s printed program.
Proceeds from this annual event support facility improvements, patient care and staff education at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.
