The Monarch butterfly migration has moved through the Shore, which opens a window to begin mosquito spraying. The town had previously suspended spraying due to the Monarch butterflies being in Cape Charles during their annual migration, and the mosquito spray was harmful to the species.
The Town’s contractor will be spraying for mosquitoes on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, starting at 7:00 p.m. in Bay Creek.
Spraying in the Historic District should begin around 8:30 p.m.
