Sometimes we overlook some of the family-friendly features of Cape Charles. In the summer, we have the beach, it is great walking town and biking town, but for families with young children, one of the great amenities is the upgraded playground adjacent to Central Park.
This is a success story we have been neglectful in sharing. Public Works once again has done a fantastic job. Public Works Director John Lockwood once told the Mirror, “The biggesst thing for us, whether it’s the beach or around town, is to be sure that everyone, locals and visitors a have a place where they can relax and enjoy themselves.” Mr. Lockwood and his team have added another great story with the upgraded playground.
Even on a brisk, yet sunny November day, the playground provides loads of fun and exercise for our kids, and gives everyone a chance to get outside and enjoy the fresh, clean Chesapeake Bay air.
