September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to recognize the Hispanic Culture here on the Eastern Shore.
National Hispanic Heritage Month is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich and diverse cultural contributions that Hispanic and Latino Americans have made to our community. This month-long celebration, which runs from September 15th to October 15th, honors the histories, cultures, and achievements of Hispanic and Latino individuals.
Support Hispanic-Owned Businesses— At the Mirror, we do this year-round, but now is a great time to explore and patronize Hispanic-owned businesses, including restaurants, shops, and local markets. Supporting these businesses helps strengthen local economies and celebrates entrepreneurship within the Hispanic community.
Remember that Hispanic Heritage Month is a great opportunity to celebrate our friends and neighbors, but also to show appreciation for the contributions Hispanic and Latino Americans make to our community.
