The Cape Charles Historic District Review Board is scheduled to convene its Regular Meeting on December 19, 2023, at 5:00 P.M. The meeting will take place at the Cape Charles Civic Center at 500 Tazewell Avenue.
Among the key items on the agenda are various Applications for Certificate of Appropriateness, including a spectrum of renovation and construction proposals across the historic district.
Outlined in the agenda are distinctive applications encompassing alterations to prominent properties within the town. Notable proposals include the structural and aesthetic transformation of addresses such as 215 Mason Avenue, 619 Mason Avenue, 603 Pine Street, and 110 Tazewell Avenue.
Proposals range from refurbishing exterior elements to comprehensive renovations and rebuilding endeavors. Projects seek to replace roofing, windows, siding, and wood elements while ensuring preservation and compliance within the historic framework.
Of note, the board will address the relocation of a two-story single-family dwelling and an accessory structure from 645 Mason Avenue to 602 Washington Avenue. The relocation proposal, presented by Mason Avenue Development, LLC represented by Kerry Shackelford of Ware Neck Properties, Inc., is set to be thoroughly examined during the meeting.
Additionally, the agenda includes a Monthly Report from Zoning Administrator Katie Nunez.
