CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Cape Charles Main Street is calling on local residents to get more involved in their community by joining its board or serving on one of several committees. The organization is currently accepting applications for volunteer positions ahead of its upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1, 2025.
Cape Charles Main Street is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates under the Main Street America® program, administered in Virginia through the Department of Housing and Community Development. The group’s revitalization efforts follow the Main Street America Four Point Approach, which focuses on economic vitality, design, promotion, and organization.
The organization is actively looking for individuals who are not only interested in joining the board, but also those who want to help plan and execute upcoming projects and events by participating on committees.
“All positions are volunteer-based, but they play a crucial role in helping us strengthen our downtown and enrich the community,” Cape Charles Main Street said in a recent announcement.
Interested residents can learn more and apply online at https://capecharlesmainstreet.com/board-application. After submitting the form, applicants will be contacted by a Cape Charles Main Street representative to discuss the opportunity in more detail and schedule an interview.
