Post 56 will conduct a Memorial Day Service on Monday, 30 May 2016 at the war memorial on Mason Avenue, Cape Charles, VA.
TIME: 1000 AM
SEQUENCE OF EVENTS:
1. Call to order- Stramm
2. Colors in place- Hand Salute- Ready Two- Stramm
3. Opening Prayer- Purvis
4. Pledge of Allegiance- Stramm
5. Introduction of Honored Guests & VIP’s – Stramm
6. Reading of poem – “Recessional” – Dr. Schulz
7. Remarks- Stramm
8. Moment of Silence- Stramm
9. Final Prayer- Purvis
Post 56 will serve food after the service is concluded at the Post. The bar will also be open. Post 56 hopes everyone in the community can attend this event.
