CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Cape Charles Main Street Executive Director reported continued progress across several administrative and promotional initiatives for the week ending Sept. 5, 2025, including a successful social media campaign and a new grant submission.
The organization has completed its application for the T-Mobile Hometown Grant, seeking $27,080 to support local projects. Award announcements are expected in late November.
Main Street also continues to pursue sponsorships from local businesses and update its fundraising database for the 2025–26 campaign cycle. Final cost estimates for the Bloxom Station project remain in progress.
As part of its fall marketing efforts, Main Street launched a social media campaign highlighting Cape Charles’ recognition as the “2025 Best Weekend Getaway.” Banners promoting the campaign were recently installed along Route 13.
According to campaign data, the effort has generated 2,728 link clicks at an average cost of just 24 to 25 cents per click. The top-performing “Best Weekend Getaway” video reel reached more than 22,000 people and produced 1,608 clicks. Static ads one and three also performed steadily, while the “Fall in Love with Cape Charles” reel showed moderate engagement.
Static ad two underperformed with only 42 clicks and has since been paused, with its budget redirected toward the stronger-performing video reel.
What kind of reporting is this? There is no hit and run. Note: Where does it say hit and run?…
Finally some good news. Hopefully Cape Charles can address this continuing problem.
