GREENE COUNTY, Va. — A campaign bus for Virginia Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears, the Republican candidate for governor, caught fire on Route 33 in Greene County while she and her team were en route to a campaign event ahead of Election Day.
A photo taken by a passerby shows the rear of the bus — emblazoned with a large image of Earle-Sears — engulfed in flames and thick black smoke along the side of the highway.
Earle-Sears and her team were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
Earle-Sears’ Democratic opponent, Rep. Abigail Spanberger, expressed relief that no one was harmed.
“I’m grateful to our first responders for their quick action — and I’m thinking of the Lt. Governor and her team after this scary incident,” Spanberger said in a social media post.
However, the Northampton County Democratic Committee drew criticism after responding to the news with mockery. The local party organization posted an image of the burning bus on Facebook with the caption, “Oops!” — a reaction some called insensitive given the potential danger involved.

Two Northampton County democratic idiotic statements . This alone should convince everyone to vote any other candidate except DEMOCRAT !!
I suspect that most citizens, both Democrat and Republican will be overjoyed that most of the obnoxious, over the top, largely untrue, vile, juvenile, childish, idiotic
(actually to stupid to be idiotic), knuckleheaded campaign TV ads will go away this Tuesday night.
At least for a coupla’ months.
Hallelujah! Arise and go forth.
Editor’s Note: Yes. The stupid level has been turned up to 11.
