Cape Charles, VA: The Northampton County Education Foundation (NCEF) is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Oysters for Education Oyster Roast and BBQ, to be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Shanty.
This popular community event brings together friends, families, and supporters for an evening of fresh oysters, barbecue, music, and a silent auction—all in support of local public education. Proceeds from Oysters for Education directly benefit students and teachers in Northampton County through grants, programs, and classroom support initiatives.
“We’re excited to once again gather our community at The Shanty for an event that combines great food, great company, and a great cause,” said Billie-Jean Bensen, chairperson of the Northampton County Education Foundation. “Oysters for Education has quickly become a cherished tradition, and its impact on our schools continues to grow each year.”

In addition to oysters and BBQ, attendees can enjoy music and bid on unique items and experiences during the silent auction. Tickets are available in advance.
