CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Families looking to keep children engaged and active this summer will have two new opportunities, as Cape Charles Christian School has announced a pair of week-long summer camps designed to combine fun with hands-on learning.
The school will host a LEGO STEM Camp from June 15–19, followed by a Chesapeake Bay Fun Camp from June 22–26. Both camps will run daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are open to children ages 5 to 12.
The LEGO STEM Camp will focus on creativity and problem-solving through building challenges, experiments, and interactive activities centered around science, technology, engineering, and math. Organizers say the camp is designed to encourage curiosity and teamwork while keeping the experience fun and engaging.
The following week, the Chesapeake Bay Fun Camp will shift the focus outdoors and toward the region’s natural environment. Participants will learn about the Chesapeake Bay and its wildlife while enjoying beach time, crafts, games, and group activities.
Each camp costs $200, with a $100 non-refundable deposit required at registration. The deposit will be refunded only if the camp is canceled. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
