CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Town of Cape Charles is accepting applications for a full-time Finance Manager to assist with municipal accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and daily financial operations.
Reporting directly to the Town Treasurer, the Finance Manager will oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial reporting, revenue processing and budget monitoring. The position also supports annual audits, capital project accounting, tax and utility collections, and other Finance Department functions.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field, along with at least two years of accounting experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Experience in governmental accounting, municipal finance or Virginia local government is preferred.
The position pays $27.12 to $29.33 per hour ($56,404 to $61,007 annually), depending on qualifications. Benefits include participation in the Virginia Retirement System (VRS). The position is eligible for overtime.
