With spring upon us, fellow gardeners are anxious to get the growing season under way, ready for the therapeutic feeling that comes from sticking your hands in the earth. Many of us are very excited (and thankful) to have a new garden center right in town. My Backyard Garden Center by Browder-Hite, located on the old Meatland parking lot at the corner of Fulcher and Randolph is fully stocked with annuals, perennials, shrubbery, trees and ground cover. The also carry a large supply of mulch, manure and fertilizer items. If you need masonry stone, My Backyard carries that too. Stone and pavers can be ordered in larger quantities if needed. The ground is still a little cool, but gardeners are still excited to have this opportunity right here in Cape Charles. Let’s get planting, and as one avid gardener recently told us, “be sure to support our local garden center!”

We submitted ours (2) on the first day it came out. I guess council is looking for "better" answers!
