Every two years, after the Council elections, the Cape Charles Town Council elects a vice mayor to serve a two-year term. At their July 2, 2020 Special Meeting, the Town Council unanimously elected Steve Bennett as vice mayor.
His term as vice mayor will run through June 30, 2022.
On June 18, 2020, Northampton County Clerk of the Court Traci Johnson virtually administered the oaths of office to Councilmen Steve Bennett, Andy Buchholz and Andrew Follmer for their new terms which run from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2024.
