CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Planning Commission will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., with a public hearing scheduled on proposed amendments to the town’s Comprehensive Plan and zoning ordinance.
The public hearing will focus on Comprehensive Plan Amendment 2026-01, which addresses updated housing-related language, as well as Zoning Text Amendment 2026-01. The zoning amendment proposes allowing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to be used as Short-Term Rentals (STRs).
Residents and interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting and provide public comment on the proposed changes, which could affect housing policy and short-term rental regulations in Cape Charles.
Meeting details, agendas, and supporting materials are expected to be available through the Town of Cape Charles in advance of the meeting.
