CAPE CHARLES, Va. — One of the Cape Charles Police Department’s cruisers was damaged in an incident while parked along Mason Avenue, according to the town’s Human Resources Manager.
Fortunately, the driver who struck the police vehicle — a Ford Explorer — left a note at the scene with contact and insurance information. Town officials have been working to resolve the claim directly with the driver’s insurer in hopes of avoiding subrogation through the Virginia Risk Sharing Association (VRSA), which would save the town from paying the deductible if the damage is covered.
The incident remains under administrative review as the town coordinates with the insurance provider to finalize the claim.

Probably that cruiser thats a waste of tax payers money that keeps getting moved around town for illegal surveillance.
Well this is suspicious.
Was there some reason the driver of Ford left the scene? Was there a emergency the driver couldn’t stay at the scene? Was anyone hurt? How much damage to the police cruiser? Was the driver intoxicated? Was the cruiser parked illegally?
Was the police department closed for the night?
Not much of a story unless this is ANOTHER on going investigation. Which is the norm for the town.
