CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Town of Cape Charles is inviting contractors to bid on the construction of two new accessible parking spaces at the eastern end of Park Row, adjacent to Central Park.
The project will include approximately 264 square feet of concrete parking pad, along with wheel stops, signage, and pavement striping, according to the town’s invitation for bid.
Bids must be submitted to Town Hall, 2 Plum Street, by 11 a.m. on Sept. 12, 2025, in a sealed envelope labeled “Invitation for Bid, Park Row Accessible Parking Spaces.” The apparent low bidder will be announced immediately after the deadline.
The town said the work must follow the specifications and drawings included in the bid package. Contractors are encouraged to contact Bob Panek in the Town Manager’s office at 757-331-3259 ext. 19 with any questions.
The project is part of Cape Charles’ ongoing efforts to improve accessibility around its popular Central Park. The award will be made by the Town Manager, with the option to negotiate with the low bidder if funds are limited.

More destruction of the town. I’m sure Tammy Holloway has some parking behind her b&b (and I don’t mean bed & breakfast). Or maybe on the peach street side since she thinks it’s her parking spaces anyway.
