CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Town Treasurer is scheduled to meet with Code Enforcement officials to review the Town’s Code of Ordinances regarding which businesses, particularly contractors, are required to hold licenses within town limits.
The meeting will focus on clarifying the three parameters currently used to determine business licensing requirements. The effort follows ongoing discussions with Planning and Zoning Director Katie Nunez about improving the process for zoning administration review and approval of certain business licenses.
Town officials acknowledged the business license portion of the Town Code is a complex issue. A comprehensive review of this section is planned for the fall, with the goal of improving clarity and consistency in the licensing process.
I went to Salt and Sand a couple weeks ago and saw a couple cockroaches. I reported it to the “manager” and they acted as of no concern saying they didn’t have roaches but that it was coming from the bar next door.(AJs) Said it was no big deal. WONT GO BACK!
All restaurants/food establishments/bars in town should be inspected and required to have a grade posted visibly to the public in their storefront window. Also it appears that not everyone is properly posting their heath licenses and things.
The roaches probably came in on your shoes. You want establishments to post “heath licenses and things”? What are you talking about?
