New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who apparently enjoys being a celebrity rather than the actual work of policy, is selling $65 dollar sweatshirts that say “tax the rich” that only rich people can afford to buy. Her’s should just say “Tax Me”, however, “tax the stupid” would be more appropriate.
Or maybe, rather than shelling out money for this piece of crap, maybe use the money towards paying back the student loans you took out for that degree in Gender studies.
Of course, nothing says economic justice like spending $65 on a sweatshirt.
Quick rebuttal:
- There is no such thing as a fair share of taxes. Don’t even engage in that discussion.
- The fair price of a good or service is that which both parties voluntarily agree to.
- Taxes are collected by threat of force.
- No amount of tax or distribution of the tax burden is “fair”.
Irony Note: They’re also made with polyester which is petroleum based. Has she not heard of the ‘Green New Deal’?
