It is important to ensure that everyone who wants to vote has a free ride to the Accomack and Northampton registrar’s office for early voting or to the Accomack and Northampton precinct offices for election day voting. The group Eastern Shore Votes is working to make this happen.
They have installed a phone line to receive and dispatch calls, are advertising in the local papers and on local radio stations, are posting fliers in places where people who need rides may visit, and have drivers to provide the rides.
