Tuesday 7/11, 3:30 – 6:30 pm
Join Future Harvest at Winding Root Farm for an in-depth field day examining the inner mechanics of running a flower farm. We’ll cover everything from production methods to diversifying sales modes with owner/operator Caroline Selle, who grows more than fifty varieties of specialty cut flowers with a focus on long-lasting, vibrant blooms and native cultivars. Though not certified organic, she only uses certified organic amendments and practices that build soil, leaving the land healthier than when they began farming.
Snacks and drinks will be provided by our friends at Seven Springs Farm Supply, where members receive 7% off of all products and soil consultations are free!
$10/ Members. $20/ Non-members. Free for BFTP and ALDI. REGISTER HERE.
This Field Day is based on work that is supported by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, U.S. Department of Agriculture, under grant number #: 2019-49400-30455
