New Gourmet Eatery Opening on the Harbor

May 5, 2019 by Wayne Creed 2 Comments

The old Harvey building which now resides at the south end of the harbor has been leased to become another food option overlooking the harbor and the western sunset.

Eyre Baldwin told the Mirror that Southport has agreed to lease the Harvey to Tim Brown, the owner of Hook-U-Up Gourmet. The restaurant will begin by serving lunch and dinner, with possible plans for breakfast in the future.

The establishment will employ ten to twelve employees, with half being full-time.

Baldwin says he is excited to be able to help bring another food establishment to Cape Charles, and how this is another indication of how things are heating up on the south end of the harbor.

The restaurant will be open year round.
