The Northampton Chamber of Commerce announced this week that the Northampton Agricultural County Fair has been cancelled due to the increasing number of COVID -19 cases. The Chamber feels it is in the best interest of the community’s safety not to conduct this event this year.
“Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases as a result of the Delta variant, the Northampton County Chamber’s Agricultural County Fair has been cancelled for Saturday, October 9. The Chamber Board feels it is in the best interest of the public and their safety to cancel the event at this time.”

Maybe we should lock down everything until there are no more COVID cases. Everyone should be restricted to their homes. All businesses should be closed. Anyone found outside their homes should be arrested. All rentals should cease immediately because this will encourage outsiders to bring COVID in with them. All transactions should be conducted on line. No more personal contact by anyone. This threat is so serious that the cure is more important than the disease. There is a rumor in Cape Charles that the Sky is Falling!!
