  1. I just happened to notice the wording on the Seal of Virginia head at the beginning of this story.

Sic semper tyrannis is a Latin phrase meaning “thus always to tyrants”.

It suggests that bad but just outcomes should or eventually will befall tyrants.

Virginia’s seal was adopted in 1776, and its design encapsulates the revolutionary fervor of the day—a bare-chested, female Virtue stands over a toppled and de-crowned Tyranny.

    Is that Ralph Northam, perhaps?

And when will Oliver Bennett start screeching to have her removed from the state seal because she is a symbol of racism?

  2. Paul, most observant. Did you also listen to the Supreme Court audio recording? Did you notice how the Town’s counsel disagreed with the County’s (highly paid) counsel on the attempted ‘Gotcha” on the ‘red herring’ posited by the County of the extraneous unsigned pages – on which 2 Supremes commented. And the Town counsel agreed? Sounded like the County’s outside counsel was trying the throw the Galloway’s counsel under the legal malpractice bus. I didn’t realize how heated the usual camaraderie in the legal profession had gotten on the Eastern Shore. What a waste of time before the Supremes and the County & Town’s taxpayers’ money.

  3. I recall a good lawyer who against all warnings took on and developed the wrong civil rights case for the wrong person against the wrong persons, and he was broken and ended up being disbarred, as a result.
