Hi I am Bud, a 5-month-old male puppy. All chihuahua. I am neutered and up to date on my vaccinations. I weigh in at 9.3 lbs, and I am not expected to get much bigger than I am right now.
I am playful,l but I am a little more shy than my sibling, so it takes me a minute to warm up to you.
Once I do, I enjoy affection. I am extremely young and energetic. The staff has been working with me so I am currently trained on puppy pads, and hit them 95% of the time.
I love toys, especially for chewing. I don’t do very well on a leash. But I am still young enough to learn a lot of new things!

If you think you may be interested in adopting Bud, you can stop by the shelter any Tuesday-Saturday from 10a.m.-2:30p.m. for a kennel walk-through. (We have no same-day adoptions, and an approved adoption application is required to be scheduled for a meet and greet.)
You can pick up an adoption application while you are there or print one off on our website anytime at www.shorespca.com.
You can also email us and ask that an adoption application be attached and sent back to you at shorespca@gmail.com We ask that you have a good vetting history or are able to continue vet care for any of our adoptees.
You can call the Shelter Tuesday-Saturday 10am.-3:00p.m. with any questions at 757-787-7385
Meet Luna!
Hi I am Luna, I am a 10-month-old female Shepard mix.
I was adopted in Washington DC at an adoption event in June 2025. I am spayed and up to date on my vaccines, and I weigh in at 38 pounds. I shouldn’t weigh more than 45 pounds when full grown.
I was originally listed as the only dog in the home at the other shelter, but I did well at a meet and greet and came home with a new fur partner. However, once home here on the Shore, me and the original dog in the home stopped getting along. So I am fishing for a home, once again.
The adoptee did say Luna did very well with her chickens.
Luna is loving and gentle with all humans and has a very laid-back temperament and loves affection. She could do well in a home with children, but will most likely need to be the only dog in the home due to her previous history.
She is “laid back” and has a very sweet disposition.

If you think you may be interested in adopting Luna, you can stop by the shelter any Tuesday-Saturday from 10a.m.-2:30p.m. for a kennel walk-through. (We have no same-day adoptions, and an approved adoption application is required to be scheduled for a meet and greet.)
You can pick up an adoption application while you are here or print one off on our website anytime www.shorespca.com.
