Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled its next seminar, “At the Edge of Salt and Fresh: Floor-Cloths and Other Designs.” The free 90-minute seminar will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, October 11 in the Lecture Hall of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.
Miriam “Tina” Riggs will talk about how changing water habitat has changed the way she looks at the natural landscape and how she designs.
Riggs has lived and worked for 30+ years in Accomack County’s District 7 where she is currently running for Supervisor.
