ONANCOCK, Virginia – On September 26th, Riverside will bring together family members who are caring for older adults in a free one-day event focused on support, training, resources and solutions for the problems that come with taking care of an older loved one.
Sponsored by the Riverside’s Martha W. Goodson Center, the full-day event is offered at no cost to family caregivers. Panel discussions will help attendees find resources to help them navigate their caregiving responsibilities, find support among others on a similar journey, and find inspiration in the successes of others.
Partnering with the Martha W. Goodson Center and providing the keynote speaker, Steve Barg, is Today’s Caregiver Magazine, experts in print and online resources for family caregivers.
The event is from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Great Hall at the Eastern Shore Community College. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with coffee and breakfast snacks. Lunch will also be provided at no cost to caregivers.
Registration is required by September 16th at 757-378-5078, www.bit.ly/rhscaregiver2024 or mwgcenter@rivhs.com.
