Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled a seminar, “Excuse Me, Where’s my Family?” An Archivist’s Tale .” The free 90-minute seminar will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 7 in the Lecture Hall of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.
Kellee Blake will lead the seminar and share funny, poignant, and heartbreaking stories from her long career as a Federal archivist. Mrs. Blake’s amazing encounters with genealogists, reporters, and even presidents will entertain and inspire with truths far better than fiction!
Kellee Blake is retired Director of National Archives-Mid Atlantic Region; she is well known on the Shore for her play, articles, and lectures on the Civil War.

Science and Philosophy Seminar is an informally organized group that meets more or less regularly to explore and discuss a wide array of topics, ranging from philosophical speculation to scientific research. All Seminars are open to the public. Admission is free.
