Since going live with its “Snake identification” hotline, ( 804-617-7086 ) Virginia Wildlife Management and Control has been getting literally 100’s of text messages and photographs of snakes for identification, saving the lives of countless snakes and stopping so many senseless killings all over the state of Virginia.

The organization says the purpose is to save the lives of snakes and to stop the “senseless killings all over the state of Virginia.”
You can reach the hotline at 804-617-7086.
There are more than 30 types of snakes in Virginia, but only three are venomous: northern copperheads, rattlesnakes and eastern cottonmouths (also known as water moccasins).
Virginia Wildlife Management and Control asks citizens to continue to spread the word and share the Snake identification hotline information with family members and Facebook friends.
