Paint the Shore Purple
Across the shore, we hope to see homes, businesses, hospitals and municipal buildings in the glow of purple. This year, to raise awareness of domestic violence, ESCADV is asking supporters to adorn their home or business with a purple light for the month of October. It is often hard to see domestic violence in your community, thus making it easy to forget that one in three women and one in nine men will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. These people are your sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, daughters, sons and friends. All too often victims of domestic abuse do not feel supported from the community; they feel they are alone in their struggle. So this October show your neighbors that you support the victims of domestic abuse in our Paint the Shore Purple Campaign.
Purple Light Bulbs
This October help ESCADV paint the shore purple and show your support for domestic violence victims and survivors by placing a purple light on your porch for the month of October. Purple lights will be available by donation at ESCADV. Stop by the ESCADV office at 155 Market St. Onancock VA or call (757) 787-1959 for more information.
I believe JD Vance would disagree with you.
