A.B. Dalinsky Memorial Scholarship at ESCC
The Dalinsky Family established the scholarship in remembrance of Arnold Barry Dalinsky. He died in Cape Charles on Nov. 18, 2015. He was a big supporter of public education and firmly believed that in order to be successful in most careers, one must be able to communicate verbally and write effectively.
One award of $1,000 will be given annually to a Northampton County High School Senior residing in Northampton County and will be applied to tuition fees at the Eastern Shore Community College (ESCC).
Applicant must have GPA of at least 2.5 upon graduation and enrolled full time at ESCC. Preference will be given to applicant with financial need desiring to major in English, Communications, Health Field, and Information Technology. One page essay of student’s career goals to be submitted with application.
All scholarship applicants are encouraged to file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to determine their eligibility for other financial aid. Students may apply for the scholarships by completing the ESCCF Scholarship App 2016 – 2017. Deadline for receipt of the completed application is generally mid-May for the following fall semester and mid-November for the following spring semester.
