The Cape Charles Wastewater plant treated an average of 240,960 gallons (as of July 2). The highest daily use was 256,200 gallons a day on 7/01/21. In June, the plant treated over 6 million gallons, which averaged over 205,000 gallons per day.
The Utility Staff performed normal maintenance on the Plant and collection system and changed a sewage pump at Washington Ave. pump station.
Water Plant 1,664,118 gallons produced 237,731 gallons per day (average) with a peak of 258,048 on 6/25/21.
Staff performed routine maintenance processes including filter backwashing and softener regenerations while conducting water quality testing and analysis daily. Well samples were sent to VDH and DEQ for analysis.
