  1. My issue would be; what’s to stop another property owner of a vacant lot asking to rezone their property Commercial?
    Or is this just the start of turning Jefferson Avenue into Mason Ave #2.
    From a part-time Barber Shop to another 7 day a week operation, ( with a Drive- Thru ), is quite a stretch!

It would be a huge mistake to rezone the property to commercial because that would open the door for other types of businesses to come and would take away from the residential feel of Cape Charles on Jefferson Avenue. Suzy’s custard business can still operate under residential-1 just as the prior business did.

  3. This is not a good idea. We don’t want to set precedents like this in residential the neighborhood.

  4. OMG! Support new business in quaint and failing Cape Charles!?!? Who would even think of such a thing?
