The CCPD answered 110 service calls in town, and 7 outside of town. Those 7 were assisting the Northampton Sheriff’s Department.
There were no felony arrests, however, there were 30 misdemeanors, 26 traffic tickets issued, along with 8 warnings. 13 parking tickets were also issued.
The CCPD logged 41 foot patrol hours, and 16 hours in Bay Creek.

It would appear Cape Charles and Northampton County are doing a better job of police work than elsewhere.
I witness hourly in nearby Virginia Beach, a cross section of the motoring public, speeding recklessly, tailgating as though it were lawful.
Ambulance and fire calls multiple times hourly, due to the abject selfishness and stupidity.
An officer informed me, they primarily respond to crashes. Zero preventative measures in place, lead to recklessness and crashes.
Population Virginia Beach…..1,479,000
Population Cape Charles…….1045
per capita CC is a much more recklessness place to live
My question is this. Are those stats for one month?
How many officers does Cape Charles have? Divide the officers per charges. And tell me how much down time these officers have?
I don’t like criticizing the police force but …
When the chief of police investigates a complaint against his number 2 man and himself and finds no evidence. And then comes up with these reports. Well, I just don’t believe the integrity of the reports.
A lot can be done to improve Cape Charles Police department.
I don’t normally criticize the CCPD, but, 2 of the charges listed here are actually only one charge. Also, the arrest was not made by CCPD. It was made by Northampton County Sheriff’s Department. So they numbers here are not accurate.
