No, sheβs not the 1 in every 3000 calico cat whoβs born a male, but Reva is a strikingly pretty and dignified looking black, white, and orange bundle of feline affection. Reva really enjoys human attention, although she prefers it on her terms. As soon as someone enters the communal cat room where Reva lives, she comes over to welcome them with a purr, a cheek rub, and a head butt. Despite her friendliness and approachability, though, she isnβt really a lap cat.
Sheβll let you pick her up and put her in your lap without any resistance, but unless you restrain her there, sheβll probably only stay for a few seconds before jumping gracefully down to the floor to rub companionably around your ankles.

In addition to her fondness for people, she also gets along well with other cats, both adults and kittens. How sheβd do around dogs is an unknown, but sheβd probably be fine as long as Fido is willing to let her be boss. Reva is full of curiosity and is always alert for sounds from the hallway outside the cat room. When she hears something, she goes over to the door and listens intently for a clue about whatβs going on out there.
Around 10 months old, Reva has already been spayed, and is up to date on all of her vaccines. Sheβs litterbox trained and is all ready to go home to become part of a βfureverβ family.
If you think Reva and your family would be a good fit, you can download an adoption application from our website (www.shorespca.com), call (757-787-7385) or email (shorespca@gmail.com) to request one, or pick one up at the shelter Tuesday through Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
