WASHINGTON, D.C. — Vice Chair of the House Armed Services Committee, Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA), participated in a committee hearing on the “Fiscal Year 2023 Defense Budget Request.” Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley will testify on the Department of Defense’s fiscal year 2023 budget request.
Last week, Rep. Luria strongly opposed President Biden’s budget request and called on the Navy to publicly apologize to American taxpayers.
This hearing is following the release of President Biden’s FY 2023 Defense Budget request last week.
