Heavy rain , tidal flooding, and breezy to windy conditions along the coast are expected Friday into Friday night with impacts continuing into early next week.
Minor to moderate tidal flooding is expected Friday night. Repeated flooding of coastal locations is likely from Saturday through Tuesday.
There is the potential for several inches of rain from Friday to Saturday morning. This is in addition to the tidal flooding. Flooding could make travel difficult in some areas. 3 to 6 inches of rain is possible through Saturday morning, especially across the southeast portion of the area with the heaviest rain falling Friday into Friday night.
Additional rainfall is possible later Sunday into Monday.

Marine Gale force winds out of the E and NE are expected tonight through Friday night, then again later in the weekend into early next week (out of the N and NE) as low pressure reorganizes off the coast.
Gusts of 40 mph are expected Friday into Friday evening near the coast in Virginia Beach and NE North Carolina. There is the potential for 45 mph gusts near the coast.
Another surge of wind is expected Sunday afternoon Monday, with gusts up to 40 mph possible on MD Eastern.
