CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Cape Charles Capital Projects is advancing several key initiatives, according to a report from the Capital Projects Manager.
Efforts continued this week to move forward with the Inner Harbor Bulkhead Rehabilitation, Phase 3, and the Strawberry Street Sidewalk infill projects. The manager contacted potential bidders for both projects, aiming to secure contractors for these essential infrastructure improvements.
Coordination is ongoing with the architectural consultant HBA regarding a potential alternative site for the new municipal offices, a key step in the planning process. Additionally, the team continued to work closely with Virginia American Water on the KW 1&2 pipelines project, ensuring alignment between the town and the utility company for future water infrastructure needs.
In a related effort, the Capital Projects Manager ordered supplemental “back-in only” parking signs for the north side of Mason Avenue, improving clarity for parking regulations along the busy street.
